HULL DEANERY SYNOD PRAYER DIARY May 2020
Fri 1st May
In these difficult times we thank God our Father for the gift of the Holy Spirit, who takes away fear. We pray that you will draw people to faith at this time taking away those fears. We pray today for the work of St Philip’s and St James’ churches as they continue to help their parishioners, at this time.

We pray for all the service communications being made by our parish teams as they make use of technology to ensure their members can still celebrate and worship the work of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Mon 4
Pray for all those who find life difficult in the isolation that is the result of the lockdown. May we help to communicate them with an encouraging, friendly word in any way we know.
Tue 5
Thank you, Lord God, for all those who are volunteering to help others in so many ways; collecting shopping and prescriptions, checking that people are okay. We pray that you will bless their work.
Wed 6
We pray for those who are guiding our nation at this time, particularly as they shape national policies with wise decisions.

Sat 9
Father God, you created us and welcomed us as your family. We bring before you those for whom life is difficult today; single parents, broken families and especially all children.
